Fair Practices Code

Our Fair Practices Code sets out the principles we follow to ensure transparent, responsible, and customer-centric lending in line with RBI guidelines.

1. Applications for loans and their processing

  • All loan application forms include necessary information for the borrower to make an informed decision
  • We provide acknowledgement for receipt of all loan applications
  • Loan applications are processed within a reasonable period of time
  • All communication to the borrower is in the vernacular language or a language understood by the borrower

2. Loan appraisal and terms/conditions

  • We conduct proper assessment of credit requirements and repayment capacity
  • All terms and conditions are clearly communicated to the borrower
  • Interest rates and charges are transparent and disclosed upfront
  • No hidden charges or fees are levied

3. Disbursement of loans

  • Disbursement is made as per agreed terms and conditions
  • All disbursements are made by account payee cheques or through electronic transfer
  • Proper documentation is maintained for all disbursements
  • Borrowers are provided with a copy of the loan agreement

4. General provisions

  • We maintain confidentiality of customer information
  • No discrimination is made on grounds of sex, caste, or religion
  • Proper training is provided to staff to deal with customers
  • Regular internal audits are conducted to ensure compliance

5. Recovery practices

  • Recovery agents are properly trained and supervised
  • No harassment or undue pressure is used for recovery
  • All recovery calls are made between 7 AM and 7 PM
  • Proper identification is carried by recovery agents
